APC training – Module 4: Commercial Management
This APC revision module comprises of a single unit and equates to 1 hour of formal CPD.
This competency is exclusively suitable for quantity surveyors working in a contracting environment or a PQS /PM working in an Alliance or Construction Management contract. If you are a PQS or a Project Manager with no contractor’s side, Alliance or construction management experience, you will need to select a different competency as this would severely compromise your chances of success at the APC.
This competency is concerned with maximising profit for the contractor. Do not confuse with Project Finance which is concerned with maximising value for the final client.
This module will provide you with all the level 1 knowledge in Commercial Management. In addition, your APC trainer will explain you how to demonstrate level 2 and 3 in this competency.
Advice to complete your summary of experience and examples of common APC questions are provided throughout the training videos. You will also be given access to associated study notes and revision materials.
